Job Summary
We are seeking independent contractors, allowing for flexible work schedules and a work-life balance. We are seeking compassionate, skilled, dedicated CRPO Registered Psychotherapists to provide high quality mental health care to individuals, couples and groups. (You don't need to do all three!). The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic counselling and demonstrate clinical competence, ethical integrity, and a strong commitment to client-centered, evidence-based practices to support clients in overcoming challenges and achieving their mental health goals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual , couple and group therapy sessions (you don't need to do all three) tailored to the unique needs of clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and case management activities as required by CRPO.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively in communication with other healthcare providers.
- Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality of client information.
Skills
- Demonstrate clinical competency.
- Familiar and competent with virtual therapy.
- Experience with evidence based practices (CBT, DBT, IFS etc.).
- Prioritize client autonomy, safety, and therapeutic outcomes above all else.
- Uphold the principle of beneficence—acting in ways that promote the client’s health and psychological growth.
- Clinically attuned to each client’s unique needs, goals, and well-being.
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to mental health and child development.
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple cases simultaneously while ensuring quality care.
Requirements
- Registered and in good standing with the CRPO as and RP or RP (Qualifying).
- Master's degree in counselling psychology, psychotherapy, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Liability insurance as required by CRPO.
Nice to have assets (but not required)
- Experience with Jane software
- EMDR certification
- Experience counselling couples
- Experience with group counselling
